Levi Dejan Visaya, married to Roselle, a dedicated high school teacher, is a proud father of three daughters. His journey in education and professional achievements reflects his commitment to excellence and service.

Levi began his academic journey by graduating as the first honor from Jose Rizal Memorial School in 1972, followed by earning the 2nd honorable mention at St. John Academy in 1976. He enhanced his skills with a Basic Computer course at EARN Manila in 1980. Levi’s pursuit of knowledge led him to excel academically, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a major in Accounting from the University of the East in 1979. He continued to distinguish himself by achieving Dean’s List honors during his undergraduate studies. Subsequently, Levi pursued his passion for law, earning his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of the East in 1988.

Levi furthered his education with a Master’s degree in Government Management from San Pedro College of Business Administration in 2000. His commitment to professional development is evident through his successful completion of various career service and board exams, including the Career Service Sub-professional exam in 1979, the CPA Board exam in 1981, and the Career Service Professional exam in 1982. He also became a licensed Real Estate Broker in 1991 and passed the Revenue Officer’s Qualifying Exam in 2003.

Levi’s illustrious career with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) spans decades and encompasses diverse roles. He started as a Revenue Tobacco Inspector in 1981 and served as a Revenue Examiner from 1982 to 1984. Levi progressed through the ranks, holding positions such as Revenue Officer I at BIR – Parañaque from 1984 to 1986, Revenue Officer II in various BIR offices including Calamba City, Taguig, and Quiapo from 1986 to 1998, and Chief of the Taxpayer Service Section (TSS) from 1998 to 2000. He continued to excel, serving as Revenue Officer III from 2001 to 2002 and Group Supervisor in BIR – Calamba City and BIR – San Pedro Laguna from 2002 to 2004. Levi’s dedication and leadership were further recognized with his role as Revenue Officer IV at BIR – San Pedro Laguna from 2004 to 2010 and BIR – Calamba City from 2010 to 2015. He concluded his tenure as Chief Assessment in BIR Calamba City and BIR-Binan City from 2015 to 2022.

Beyond his roles at the BIR, Levi has contributed extensively to academia and professional organizations. He serves as a Trainer for the Tax Computerization Project and is a member of various Technical Working Groups. Levi shares his expertise as a part-time Professor at AMA CLC, LCBA, and Letran, where he educates future professionals in taxation matters. He is also a sought-after Resource Speaker on Taxation topics, enriching the knowledge of industry peers and students alike.

Levi’s dedication and contributions have been acknowledged with numerous awards and recognitions, including Outstanding Section Chief at RDO 56 in 1999 and recognition for closing the highest number of delinquent cases at RDO 24 in 1993. He was honored as the Most Promising Employee by the Assessment Group in 1991 and achieved notable placements in the Revenue Examiner Basic Training Course and Revenue Inspector’s Course. Levi is an active member of professional organizations such as PICPA and GACPA, as well as the Philippine Association of Real Estate Brokers.

In addition to his professional achievements, Levi remains actively involved in community and alumni associations. He served as the Treasurer of the St. John Academy – Calamba Class ’76 Alumni Association from 2004 to 2010 and held the position of Secretary for the St. Augustine Village Homeowners Association from 2005 to 2008. Levi contributed his leadership skills as secretary of the Maria Makiling Greenheights Subdivision Homeowners Association from 2017 to 2019.

Currently, Levi Dejan Visaya serves as the Auditor for the Saint John Colleges of Calamba Alumni Foundation Inc. (2024-2026) formerly St. John Academy, continuing to lend his expertise to support educational initiatives and alumni relations.
