Amelito Dioneda Deniega, fondly known as Ame or Lito in his professional circles, was born in the vibrant province of Sorsogon, known affectionately as “uragong” by its locals. His life has been a testament to academic prowess, professional achievement, and a deep love for family and community.
Raised in a nurturing environment, Ame found his life partner in Evangeline Gomez, with whom he shares a loving marriage and three wonderful children: James Gabriel, Angela Nicole, and Michaela Christel. Their unwavering support has been a constant source of strength throughout his journey.
Ame’s academic journey began with distinction as he graduated as salutatorian in elementary school and garnered honorable mention in high school, where he ranked among the top ten students, with only two males in the cohort. His exceptional talents in mathematics earned him silver and gold medals, while his prowess in cultural contests, specifically in tula and talumpati, earned him gold medals and recognition.
His determination and resourcefulness were evident early on when he won a silver medal in a district talumpati contest, using the cash prize to fund his first-year college tuition as a down payment. Ame’s passion for sports was also notable, as he excelled as a volleyball player throughout his high school years.
In 1986, Ame graduated from St. John Academy, laying the foundation for his future academic and professional endeavors. Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to excel in his field, Ame pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Adamson University, graduating in 1991.
He began his career as a computer instructor, eventually rising to become the head of the Computer Science and Computer Engineering Department at LCBA. His career in the IT industry took him to various prestigious roles, including serving as a mainframe programmer for consumer banking at Equitable-PCI Bank (now BDO).
His expertise and dedication led him to opportunities abroad, where he worked as an analyst, senior programmer, and application consultant for renowned organizations such as the Housing and Development Board of Singapore, Citybank Singapore – Germany, and NCS (National Computer Systems) Singapore handling EMEA and APAC regions.
Ame’s career journey continued to evolve as he took on leadership roles in healthcare IT solutions at Optum Global Solutions Philippines Inc., managing teams in mainframe claims processing, systems management, and software engineering.
Currently, Ame serves as an application consultant for a U.S.-based Fortune 500 insurance company, where his expertise in IT solutions continues to drive innovation and efficiency. Certified in ITIL 4, Ame remains at the forefront of his field, adapting to emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ame is a nature lover, finding solace in farming and enjoying recreational activities such as basketball and badminton. He is also a talented artist, skilled in drawing, calligraphy, and charcoal art. Ame’s entrepreneurial spirit shines through his latest venture, ADeniega IT Consultancy, where he leverages his expertise as a web designer and business solutions consultant to offer innovative solutions to clients.
